The BA (Hons) is a degree and a higher qualification than a Diploma. Degree programmes are studied at 360 credits, 120 credits in each year at Levels 1, 2 and 3. The DipHE is 240 credits in total, 120 studied at Level 1 over an 18-month period and 120 credits at Level 2 over the next 18-month period. The BA is more academic as students study at Level 3, it is more intensive, takes a broader look at Health and Society and in the final year there is more emphasis on research. Qualification criteria is higher for BA (Hons).
