What are the accommodations like?
In Panama, we have selected a variety of charming accommodations ranging from tropical garden villas to comfortable city hotels with all of the modern conveniences. In general, we use small, family-run accommodations that are locally owned and characteristic of each area instead of luxury chain resorts. . All trip participants will stay in simple accommodations near the CFCA projects, usually in a retreat center or a hotel. Married couples and families will stay in private rooms. Individuals will be assigned a roommate. Running water for showers is readily available, but it may not be heated. Tap water is unsafe for drinking. Instead, the project provides bottled water.
Check the web site of the location your group will be staying for more information on accommodations, which range from native Amazonian communities, to Biology stations to educational lodges, depending on the needs of the group. You should have the idea that you will be roughing it and be in basic accommodations.
Pisac Inn offers newly renovated, comfortable and charming accommodations with 12 immaculate guest rooms, most with private baths. Hot water at all times. Pisac Inns atmosphere celebrates the local traditional culture. It can best be compared to small, family run bed and breakfasts rather than international chain hotels. It is located in the town center on the plaza and the reception generally speaks English.
