What are TDL SYSTEMS research interest?
As a RESEARCH ORGANIZATION, TDL Systems has as its main objective the study of methods for using collaborative work as a learning resource for improving human performance. As an inseparable part of this interest we: (a) study adult development; (b) investigate methods for facilitating the success of adults in college professionals who have returned to the college classroom to earn degrees; and (c) we inquire into published research which addresses how people organize themselves into sustainable communities. We accomplish our research objectives through ethnographic field studies, survey research, reviews of the literature, and professional partnerships with people who share our research interest. All TDL Systems research activities are grounded in the theoretical constructs of cultural psychology, with special attention given to the work of John Dewey (relations of interaction), Jean Lave (situated cognition), and Lev Vygotsky (zone of proximal development).
