What are study skills?

0

When I started nursing school in 1992 I had been out of high school since 1988 and I had to learn some study skills. I found out pretty quickly that I am not someone that learns by listening to a lecture, I am one that has to write down the main points of the lecture and I also learn much faster with hands on experience instead of watching someone else do the task. There are tests you can take to find out what kind of learner you are and then study skills that go with that type of learner.

Study skills include the ability to organise; time manage a project (piece of study work or essay); plan and execute a project. These skills are transferable into any area of work. In addition being efficient at studying means you will be able to keep on top of the latest research in the field of childcare.
