Putting in a lot of time on the table at a stretch is not very efficient, instead put in chunks of 20 mins very regularly on all days, both for writing and reading. First identify, at what level you read comfortably, then, start working on improving your level, by going for better books, do not immediately refer a dictionary, try to guess the meaning of the words, which you do not know, and write it down, then check the dictionary, this stimulates your brain, which will ultimately help you improve.
