What are sauteed perogies?

Properly made, a pierogi is pure joy to eat. My first ma-in-law [a German lady] made them with a kind of noodle dough, filled with farmer cheese mixture, then boiled them and THEN sauteed them in unsalted [sweet] butter. Oh boy were they delicious! Never had the store kind yet, but there’s an internet source if you Google “perogies” that is said to be very good mailorder ones…they have cheese, onion and potato and some with cabbage and potato.

perogies are polish dumplings (other ethnicities eat perogies also but I am more familiar with perogies from the polish side) and are found in the frozen section of your supermarket. You can either boil them like ravoli or sautee them in oil or even deep fry them. I prefer boiling since it is healthier.
