C2, B3, and C4 in formulas above are relative cell references. Relative cell references are basic cell references that adjust and change when copied. You do so by placing a $ before the column letter (i.e. keep the column letter the same) or a $ before the row number (keep the row number the same), but not both. This is called Mixed Reference.
