What Are Other Causes For Irregular Menstrual Cycles?
When the body’s hormone signals become out of sync, it typically causes an irregular menstrual cycle. A period comes from the female body producing hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone. The ovaries, hypothalamus and pituitary gland maintain the hormones. When the body wants to start the ovulation and menstruation cycle, these body parts pass signals to each other. If any one of the signals become crossed, an irregular period occurs.
