A After intensive lobbying for a number of years by CHIMA members, the Board of Directors confirmed mandatory CE credits would be put in place starting 2006: 36 credits within a three year cycle was approved, with a minimum 80% of the CE credits from the HIM domains of practice – Data Quality; eHim and Privacy. (i.e. you may have 20% from continuing education other than HIM such as leadership training, stress management, etc). See the “Standards for Maintenance” document for further details – https://www.echima.ca/continuing-education/standards-for-maintenance-of-ce-credits.
