What are local conventions?

0

Local conventions are a written set of guidance notes developed by each Council. They are needed to ensure that the job evaluation scheme is used consistently and fairly across the whole Council. Local conventions will differ between Councils. For example if a post holder has responsibility for a budget, their post will be evaluated based on the size of the budget they are responsible for. The size of budgets will be different between district councils, and large county councils.
