Kids trundle beds are essentially two beds in one. The top bed is the one that is normally used, and the bottom bed is usually kept hidden underneath unless it is needed for a sleepover party or a place where grandma or grandpa can rest during a visit.Trundle beds made for kids usually consist of a mattress on the top bed with no box spring. The lower bed is usually on wheels and can easily be pulled out and used when needed. This bed also consists of a mattress without a box spring. Therefore, the actual size of the complete trundle bed is similar to a regular mattress and box spring bed set.
