The Flexible Learning Courses are an educational alternative designed for students who can master course material without traditional classroom instruction. These flexible 1-credit modular courses are designed to allow students greater control over their learning schedules. Students will be able to progress at the rate of their capabilities and other time commitments. As a general guideline, a 1-credit college-level course requires up to 45 hours to complete including outside reading and homework. The number of hours required to complete a 1-credit module in the FLC will vary depending on each individual students prior knowledge and abilities. Successful completion of each course awards college credit, so a student can apply the credits earned towards a degree or certificate.
