What are donations used for?
Our donations help finance scholarships and 0% loans destined to the future intakes. Our action is meant to ensure equal opportunities at HEC. Indeed we aim to limit the impact of social background when it comes to financing one’s education. In order for HEC to remain the European leader and keep progressing, our school needs to develop further. By transferring our donations to HEC’s foundation, we help finance the school’s development. The mission of HEC’s Foundation is to finance scholarships for students. In addition, it helps finance the recruitment of the best professors, as well as scientific research on campus. Nowadays, universities compete against each other at the global level. It is up to us to strengthen HEC’s leading position in the European arena, and help it grow further worldwide. The minimal donation to the Class Gift is set at €150. All our donations are tax-deductible up to 2/3 for a duration of 3 years (as per the French revenue tax). For instance, donating €150 ent
Open-content and open-source projects are fragile as development and maintenance costs do not pay for themselves. We use donations to: • Cheer us up and remind us that somebody out there appreciates our work! A donation is a very concrete and useful token of appreciation. • To pay for commercial server space with high traffic levels and a complicated database infrastructure. With over 204,600 page impressions a month, it’s not cheap! • To help pay for costs like software licences, a broken keyboard, etc. • None of the people behind this project get paid for their time, work, and commitment. While working on such endeavours gives us a lot of pleasure, we still hope to be able to at least cover our direct costs.
