What are Courses?
Courses are a structured sequence of vocational education and training, generally resulting in assessment against a range of specific learning outcomes and usually associated with institutional delivery. It is proposed that in future there would be less focus on course delivery and more on providing a range of flexible training pathways, leading to achievement and assessment against endorsed national competency standards. The NTIS provides details of nationally accredited courses and the training providers delivering the training. As it may be some time before all industry sectors develop Training Packages, accredited courses will continue to provide a structure for training.
