What are CAs recommendations for Temp Storage for CA-Gener/OL Task Area?

0

The Temp Storage for CA-Gener/OL Task Area is a CA-Gener/OL parameter that can be found on the Performance Parameters screen. The Gener/OL Task Area (GTA) is similar to CICS’ TCA. The GTA can span CICS tasks, therefore, the GTA has to be saved during pseudo-conversational periods. You can specify an M for this parameter to move the task area to main temporary storage during pseudo-conversations (or pseudo-tasks). You can specify an A to move the task area to auxiliary temporary storage during pseudo-conversations. If you have a lot of CA-Gener/OL users we recommend that you set this parameter to A for AUX. If you have a few users, M for MAIN is recommended (I/O will be reduced a little).
