AMCAS is a centralized application service that you must use to apply to nearly all U.S. allopathic (M.D.) medical schools. (There are a few allopathic schools that you must contact directly for an application and Texas state schools have their own application process.) AACOMAS is a similar centralized service that is used for all but one of the osteopathic (D.O.) medical schools.
