Use cottonseed meal, soybean meal….really whatever meal is available at your local feed store. Sweet feed also works well, but not as well as the mealed products. If you can’t get you hands on these then use dry dog food. Take the chum you’ve selected and put it into a burlap sack. For the dog food you’ll have to weight the sack with a large window weight of the like. Tie a rope to your bag and throw it overboard. The cats will pour in.
