VANCOUVER BC, WHERE CAN I HAVE BONFIRE?
Most places don’t allow public bonfires anymore. If you have a bonfire pit in your backyard you can have one. But due to Forest fires most places do not allow bonfires anymore. Technically you could do it anywhere. But if the police come you will have to put it out and be given a large fine. It happened to me once and was not fun.
Try to find a secluded place where you won’t disrupt anyone who might report you to the cops. Of course, be responsible, don’t burn too close to trees and plants, don’t leave unattended, ever, and make sure the fire is completely out before you leave, including turning over the dirt where the fire was held and dousing it completely with water. I like to go down near the water of Burrard Inlet in Burnaby. If there aren’t crowds around, the beach at Golden Ears Provincial Park is great, and you can camp right on the beach if you’re tenting it.
