The blank pages aren being dropped by the scanning software automatically. I thought they were supposed to be deleted automatically?
Some scanner models are more senstitive than others. We’ve set a threshold level in the scanner software (Ascent Capture) to delete what appears to be blank pages. If none of your blank pages are being deleted, you may want to change the threshold level. Remember, that scanned “noise” such as a folded document, a pencil mark, hole punches, etc. will not be considered a blank page when scanned. They show up as data (lines, circles, etc). You’ll always have to manually delete pages with noise. To change the Blank Page threshold: Open the Ascent Capture Scan Module Click “Scan” in the toolbar Click “Properties” Click “Options” at the bottom of the pop-up window. Increase the value in the “Back Delete Blank Page Threshold” field from 3000 to a higher number if blank pages are not being deleted. You’ll have to experiment with the new value.
