Since we need additional operating dollars, shouldn’t we reconsider purchasing new curriculum materials each year?
(Return to questions list.) A. Funding for the district’s curriculum materials comes from the capital improvement levy, which cannot be used to pay for operating expenses. Eliminating the purchase of curriculum materials funded through the capital improvement levy would not help the district’s general operating fund. We believe we should do what we can to ensure that our students are working with current, up-to-date materials.
