In Word 2003 or earlier: • Click the ‘Tools’ menu in MS Word and select Options. • Click the ‘Save’ tab and then clear the ‘Prompt to save Normal template’ checkbox. In Word 2007 or higher: • In the upper-left corner of the screen, click the Office button. • In the lower-right area of the drop-down box, click ‘Word Options’. • In the Word Options page, click ‘Advanced’ in the left menu. • Use the scroll bar to scroll down to the ‘Save’ section. • In the Save section, click to clear the ‘Prompt before saving Normal template’ checkbox. If you’d like to understand more about this functionality in Word, there’s more information available from Microsoft.
