Nobody could have wanted Machida to win as much as I did…. but it seems shogun beat him at his own game. Shogun counters with knees and kicks that keep Machida away nearly every time he attempts to advance… I thought for sure that Machida lost the match and even at the end I believe Machida thought the same… In the octagon after the fight when asked about a rematch by Joe , he says “i’ll try again”…. Machida didn’t get his *** whooped…but I believe he was given a gift that night….the WIN.
