Should people who can work but don get welfare?
The obvious answer is yes, but the obvious answer is not always the right answer. I can see circumstances where this might not be true. As an example, it may not make sense for someone with children to work if the cost of child care were more than the pay they receive. Yes may be the wrong answer if a medical condition does not allow them to perform on a schedule that normal employers might require. I am sure that there are other cases where “yes” may be the wrong answer and I recognize that people will give peripheral arguments such as “they should not have children if they can’t afford them and they should improve their skills to get a better job, but this is not the question that is asked.
Its not really a yes or no question because some people get discriminated against their appearance others just have trouble getting a job so one of my questions is to you should someone that can’t get a job go without money to feed their kids because as****e employers wont hire you because your to qualified or under qualified then you have to take into account that most of the time you have to have a certificate to do any thing which cost money so it all boils down to get rid of the sponges and give the others a fair go by the way I’m an Aussie that gets assistance from the government because we are in a drought and we live and work on a dairy farm if we just lived on our work wage we would have enough money to buy food and some fuel but not be abill to pay bills so like i said at the beginning its not a simple yes or no question you have a lot of other things to consider
