Qn 6. What measures have the NPA adopted to address the issue of the sale of adulterated gas oil to motorists at the retail outlets?

0

Ans: In order to address this issue and bring offenders to book, the NPA is collaborating with the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) and the Ghana Standards Board (GSB) to monitor the activities of the tanker drivers and dealers. The NPA, in conjunction with the said collaborating agencies, will continue with the random sampling of gas oil at the retail outlets to verify whether gas oil being offered for sale at the retail outlets meet the TOR’s specification.
