It runs as a DOS application to prevent Windows from messing with the disk while you’re copying it. The Special Edition for CD-R allows the disk image to span multiple CD-R discs, providing an effective way to back up or archive an entire hard drive onto CD-R. The CD-Rs created are bootable, and (if your PC supports it) you can restore your system by booting the disc.
