My husband is going to have a vasectomy. What is the difference between a regular vasectomy and a “no scalpel” vasectomy?
A vasectomy is a method of permanent sterilization. This is done by removing a small segment of the vas deferens, which transports sperm and fluid from the testicles. There are no differences in results between a vasectomy and a no-scalpel vasectomy. The success rate, risks, possibility of infection, bleeding or post operative pain is the same.
