Ive heard that I can obtain approval from the Department of Labor to work permanently in the United States. How does that work?
If you have a company interested in sponsoring you for a specific position and are outside the country, the company can file a Foreign Labor Certification Application (FLCA) with the U.S. Department of Labor on your behalf. Once this application has been approved, your employer can then file a Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker with the U.S.C.I.S.
