Is there a way to disable the read back verification process when writing to DVD-RAM discs?

While reviewers are able to use Nero CD Speed to perform benchmark tests with the read back process disabled, there does not seem to be a way to disable the read back verification for normal write use. In any case, there is very little reason to do so. Assuming you were able to do this, you would be negating one of the key features that makes DVD-RAM discs so reliable, even though write operations would be faster. If that is what you are after, you might as well just use DVD+RW/-RW discs instead.
