Is there a grass that withstands dog pee?

No, all grass is affected by the ammonia in the urine Question: My new lawn, sown in October 2007, was looking great then lots of tall stalks suddenly appeared in July. Seed mix is Bargold (Perennial Ryegrass T) 50%, Barcrown (slender creeping) 20%, Bargreen (chewing fescue) 20%, and Highland Browntop Bent 10%. Any ideas why this happened? Answer: This is not our grass to comment on, however it will be the perennial ryegrass which is going stalky as it is trying to produce a seed head at this time of year and if not mown tightly on a regulary basis, then this will happen.
