Yes, SCAR/SIIM surveyed imaging informatics professionals across the health enterprise to create an industry-wide task analysis. An article describing the initial job analysis entitled Defining the PACS profession: an initial survey of skills, training, and capabilities for PACS administrators appeared in the Journal of Digital Imaging, Vol. 18:4, December, 2005.
