Is the data being transferred between the wave alert D2 and the mastercom unit (through RTU supplied by others) communicating through GPS?

No, the data between the MasterCom and the remote RTU has to be transmitted by other communication links. This communication link can be a dedicated phone line, fiber optic, radio, satellite, etc. The GPS is used in every processor (local and central processors ) to assure the best synchronization among different local processors and improve location accuracy. It has nothing to do with a communications link. The communications link is usually handled by the customer or our local Rep. If you do not have a communications solution already set up, please mention this and we will help you in finding a solution.
