Is ringworm contagious?
If your child has ringworm, they may show a ring-shaped pink patch on the skin, usually to 1 inch in size with a scaly, raised border and clear center. The ring may slowly enlarge and be slightly itchy. Ringworm spreads by direct contact or indirectly through contaminated objects (towels, combs, etc) Incubation period* is 4 to 10 days.
