No, if anything they’re thinking of increasing it to 21 due to the problems we’ve been having with the binge drinking culture. If you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes now, they won’t reduce the drinking age.

wouldnt think so but i am not certain they just increased the smoking law from 16 to 18 so if they reduce the drinking age they are backward

I take it that you are American. Your age limit is 21 I believe. Age limit here is 18, but could do with adopting the US. approach, as we experience a lot of drink related crime in our youngsters. We also see a lot of hospital admissions, where they over indulge and get alchoholic poisoning.

No, but they may increase it to 21. The age limit of cigarettes and alcohol are always the same too, cos otherwise it would be saying one is better for you than the other!
