Is it possible to take online courses without enrolling in the MACL or MDIV degree programs?
Yes, online courses may be taken for credit without enrolling into the Master of Arts in Christian Leadership or Master of Divinity Distance Learning Option programs. In fact, online classes are available to both degree program and non-degree program students at SFS. However, online classes are not available for audit. What are the admission requirements for the Distance Learning programs? Admission to any degree program at Sioux Falls Seminary is based upon the following considerations: an authentic faith in Jesus Christ as the foundation for responsible life and service; a virtuous and chaste life (confirmed by the applicant’s church and its pastoral leadership); a call to Christian service and exercise of gifts for ministry as explained in a statement from the applicant and confirmed by his/her church; and a baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution, with a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
