Is Democracy Better or Dictatorship?

0

It seems few understand that the US is NOT a democracy. It is a democratic republic. In a true democracy, the people decide EVERYTHING, which is not what happens in the US. In America, the people elect others who will represent them in a legislature, congress or city council. They decide what is necessary, not the people. Although the people can voice their opinions to the representative, the representative is not mandated to obey. In a dictatorship, one person makes the decisions. Either could be bad or good but history proves that all forms of government become corrupted sooner or later.
