Is Csound copyright or open-source?
You can use the source code for Csound for any academic or research purpose, but you must arrange with MIT to put it to any commercial use. The Copyright as listed in The Public Csound Reference Manual Canonical Version 3.53 states: “Copyright 1986, 1992 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. All rights reserved.
