Is CMO cheaper to buy directly from the US than from a UK distributor?
Although the prices quoted by some companies appear at first to be low, they often fail to mention a few important facts. They usually add on postage charges and packing charges (usually at a profit). They always forget to mention that when importing CMO into the UK you will need to pay Duty at up to 25%, VAT at 17.5%, and a duty collection fee (currently a fixed fee of 13.50, no matter how much is being collected). These charges alone can double the price you are paying. What they also fail to mention is that it illegal to import CMO into the UK without an import licence. Without one, your CMO is very likely to confiscated and destroyed. It is therefore far safer, and often very much cheaper, to buy from a supplier in your own country.
