Is Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy Asian???
O_o He’s from Nibelheim, somewhere on the ‘Planet’; so I guess that just makes him… Nibelheimian. Thankfully, there is no ethnicity in the Final Fantasy 7 world. You could practically have a very dark skin tone with fair hair and still fit in with the characters. By real life standards, he looks more European than Asian to me. I believe they intended to give him what you referred to as the ‘white’ look by giving him blonde hair and white skin. However, the motion actor and the person his facial features were based on is/are most likely Japanese, I suppose that’s why he looks partly Asian as well.
