Is Canada a multicultural nation?

Yes, very much so, especially in major urban centres like Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, and Halifax. Besides our own variety of English, French, native, Cree, Inuit, and other cultures, there are also many immigrants living in Canada from almost every country in the world.

It’s a very multicultural nation! It’s the most diverse country in the world. Especially in major cities like Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, etc.

About as much as most Western nations are. In terms of racial and religious categories, we are basically on par with US percentages (actually the US has more minorities per percentage of population, but not by much). So officially, YES, we definitley are multi-cultural. unofficially, however, the country has two dominant cultures which most minorities eventually assimilate to: English and French. Unlike our American counterparts, Canada has official languages and entrenched cultural institutions that enhance English and French as dominant cultures. So… and alot of people on here may get ticked off by me saying this… I would say that we are not completely multi-cultural. More like multi-racial, multi-religious…. but in term sof CULTURE, I would say English and French dominate completely.
