In 1996-1997, was TDI actually found in the air near the Trinity America site in Glenola?
Release of TDI below state limits was reported by the company in their TRI statements. Several air monitoring attempts were made to measure a number of combined pollutants in the air around the plant, but none were able to specifically detect TDI. There was some information that might have shown that TDI was in the air, but it was in such a small amount that the instruments were not sensitive enough to be certain about the possible detection. The combined pollution around that plant was high, around 29 parts per billion (ppb), but it was impossible to isolate TDI from the combined pollutants.
