If an individual enrolls in the 65% COBRA Premium Reduction Program, would they have the option of switching to the HCTC Program?
Yes. However, for any month an individual receives a 65% COBRA Premium Reduction through his or her former employer, he or she will not be eligible to receive the HCTC. If the individual wishes to receive the HCTC and is already receiving the COBRA Premium Reduction, he or she can switch by opting out of the COBRA Premium Reduction program prior to registering for the monthly HCTC Program.
