I would like to room with a friend from home who is applying to Brockport, but she does not know if she has been accepted yet. What should i do about filling out a housing application?
New transfers that are considered upperclassmen (beyond their first-year in college) can request to live with current students. New first-year transfers (under 24 credits) must live in first-year residence halls, and cannot live with current students. If she knows she is accepted by April 11, she can pay her deposit then email us at housing@brockport.edu so we can create an account for her. She will then have her Banner ID number and you both can mutually request each other. If she does not know if she has been accepted by April 11, then have her email us at housing@brockport.edu stating she wishes to live in a specific room with you. We cannot guarantee holding any spots after April 11.
