I received a imed out message when I was supposed to enter my SecureCode™ what does this mean?
At the point of purchase with a participating online retailer, you will see a ‘pop-up’ window appear with your Personal Message and this is where you will need to enter your SecureCode. If there is a period of inactivity, you may be ‘timed out’ which basically means the time limit for activity on this screen has expired. It is easy to resolve. Simply close this ‘timed out’ window by canceling or clicking on the ‘X’ in the top right hand corner – or click ‘Back’ to return you to the online store. It is recommended you contact the online retailer to confirm if your purchase was made, to avoid potentially purchasing the goods twice. Once you have confirmed the purchase was not made, you can simply progress through the purchase process and enter your necessary details to complete the purchase. Still need help? For further assistance about MasterCard SecureCode please contact Clydesdale Bank on the number printed on the back of your card or alternatively visit www.mastercard.com/securecode.
