Actually, the on-line documentation which is on the site in the Chapters menu explains, for simplification purposes, only the elements specific to the evolution 4.0 of CI-Link. Yet, the documentation which can be found in the “Multi-Frames” menu is complete and describes the elements which make up CI-Link including the CIL3 language and the 2-tier Client/Server (which are both related). CI-Link offers a number of APIs (Excel, ODBC, 4D, etc…) which allow to connect to the 2-tier engine of CI-Link (which also includes DOA and the capability of accessing user-classes) from many office applications.
