I hear older Z28 wheels are different than newer Z28 wheels?
If you put a straight edge across the wheel with no tire or beauty ring, the inside lip is higher than the outside lip. Where the tire mounts. If the lip on the inside is higher than it’s a early style. If the lip is lower than it’s a later style. Another quick way to tell the difference is to look at the valve stem. The early wheels have a oval shaped hole around the stem, and the later wheels have a round hole.
