I booked a private hire vehicle but it didnt turn up. What can I do?
First, approach the operator with whom you booked the journey and ask for an explanation. If you paid in advance, for example in respect of an airport pick-up, ask for your money back. If your not satisfied with the outcome telephone the Licensing Section (01942 404265) and give details of the operator concerned, the time, date and place of proposed pick-up and any other information you think will be helpful. Unfortunately, the Council cannot legally recover money on your behalf but we will try to help you to do so.
