The customer may want to upgrade to eCopy ShareScan OP version 1.1, check with your local eCopy reseller for upgrade information. There are three options within eCopy ShareScan OP 1.1 to discover devices. Under “Devices” in the AdminConsole, “Multicast UDP” is the default discovery mechanism to discover all the MEAP-enabled devices. If Multicast UDP is disabled in a network, the customer has another way to auto discover devices using “SNMP” protocol in the same “Add Device” Window. If the device does not show up either by using UDP/SNMP, the 3rd option is to click on the “Advanced>>” button and enter the Device Name/IP to manually discover the device.
