How waterproof are the bags?
The bags are made with high-tech outdoor weight sailcloth. These fabrics are laminated and far more waterproof than coated materials like cordura. You may have slight leakage through seams and zippers during extended downpours and submersion. Because of this, we recommend using a sealed drybag with the Handlebar harness. For the seat bag, use our dry bag liner or pack your water sensative items in something waterproof. During bike / rafting expeditions using frame bags, we found that leakage was minimal through the sewn seams and actually would hold rain water overnight if the zipper was wide open. So for “normal” use they are pretty water tight.
