How Was A-ha Formed?
A-ha was formed by three Norwegian youngsters who shared the same taste in music. It consisted of Morten Harket who was the lad vocalist, Paul Waaktaar-Savoy the guitarist and Magne Furuholmen on keyboards. They came together in the year 1982 in Norway and soon left to try and make it big in London. While in London their recording sessions were done at John Ratcliff’s studio. He was also their manager. It is believed that the band chose this place for all their recordings because is had a space invaders machine. The band got its name from one of their tracks called ‘The Juicy Fruit’ song. Initially it was thought of as being weird and incomplete but the band later discovered that the name sounded quite fun and unique and also had positive connotations in various contexts.
