How to t-shirt printing?
OK, there are a couple ways to go; Heat transfer & screen print Heat transfers are those ‘iron on’ sheets that you can run thru certain types of printers and they transfer to the fabric with the use of heat & pressure. These will not last thru too many washings, and there’s no white ink in your printer, so they have to be darker colors on white or light shirts. IMPORTANT! They will mirror what is on the page, so you must mirror the image before printing it; usually an easy step in the printout process. Screen-printing is more durable and there are a wider variety of colors and some specialty inks like metallic, sparkly, glow in the dark, etc.. When pricing screen prints, they go by the # of colors, as a screen must be prepared for each color used. In summary, use heat transfers if you want to put something colorful onto a smaller number of shirts, but for durability’s sake, use screen-printed shirts.
